MCUD to Host Community Information Meetings
Midland County Utility District invites the public to attend one of four informational meetings to learn about the district, hear updates and ask questions.
Three meetings will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Greenwood ISD’s James R. Brooks Middle School, 2511 FM 1379, Midland, Texas 79706:

A fourth meeting, including a tour of the water treatment plant, will be held Saturday, October 3, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the MCUD Water Treatment Plant, 2418 S. County Road 1140, Midland, Texas.
MCUD IS DELIVERING WATER!
If you live along the currently installed MCUD water distribution system, you may be eligible for new MCUD water service. If so, please click the link below to download a new water service application.
If you need to buy bulk water from MCUD, our new water station is NOW OPEN! The bulk station can deliver up to 4,000 gallons of potable water per day to approved customers.

MCUD Opens New Facility
MCUD Celebrates opening of the new Dr. Shelton Viney Water Treatment Plant on May 14, 2026.
Many were in attendance for the celebration at the new facility where guests got to sample glasses of drinking water straight from the tap of the new blue elevated water tank.
A big thank you to all who attended the ribbon cutting including Senator Kevin Sparks Speaker Tom Craddick, Midland County Judge Terry Johnson, Mayor Lori Blong, Midland County Commissioners, and Ben Spinks.
We are proud of what we have accomplished and committed to the future.
Do you need MCUD Water?
On April 30, 2026 MCUD began distributing water from its new water treatment plan. Engineers are now planning future water distribution phases with more information coming soon!
